McKenna's Stance on The Scottish Club McKenna referred to the Glasgow giants as "an enormous football club" but emphasized he is "deeply involved" of a "extensive rebuilding" with Ipswich Town. "Growing up, we all have our affinities," he said when questioned about these. "It's unlikely all people has to publicly and announce what they were, but of course it's a massive sports organization." The coach agreed to a fresh multi-year deal in last year and was asked about his reported £5m release clause. "In every manager's contract, there are things," he responded. "I don't know what mine are and, were I informed, I wouldn't tell you anyway! "I approach this job like I will remain Town's coach forever. I understand that's not always going to be the case, but I'll always give maximum effort as while I am here." Bellamy's Situation The former striker represented Celtic on temporary transfer from the Magpies in 2005, but the ex- Welsh striker is inclined to finish the current World Cup qualification, a position that would effectively rule out the 46-year-old from immediately taking the Glasgow position. Wales are currently third in their World Cup group behind leaders the Red Devils and second-placed Macedonia. Wins over Liechtenstein and their rivals in November would secure their position in the final qualifying round, but they are virtually guaranteed of making those, due to a productive European competition performance, should they fail to end up their group second place. Considering his current stance, Bellamy, whose agreement concludes after Euro 2028, would not be available until after the play-offs at the earliest.
